London War Resister Support Group

Inspired by U.S. war resisters' personal accounts of why they refused to serve in Iraq, internationally-acclaimed Lionel Lodge (Definitely Schrägged, The Rock Quartet Live in Vienna) composed this original song, I'm Putting Down my Gun Now, recorded it with his London-based band The Dodeldogs and donated it to the LWRSG to help support war resisters. The money generated by the sales of this recording contributes directly to the London War Resisters Support Group's work helping war resisters through the life-changing decisions they made when their conscience would no longer allow them to be part of this war. We help them settle in Canada, while also educating the public about their cause and lobbying Canadian politicians to LET THEM STAY. Second cut: Where Will They Go?: while in the studio to record I'm Putting Down My Gun Now, Lionel Lodge (www.lionellodge.com) and his London, Ontario band The Dodeldogs recorded this groovy number about the villains of corporate and political greed. This theme goes well with the Iraq War protests as it is generally seen that this war was mainly inspired by corporate and political greed. The money generated by the sales of this recording will go to help the London War Resisters Support Group in our work helping war resisters settle in Canada, while also educating the public about their cause and lobbying Canadian politicians to LET THEM STAY.
